Dead Heart Beat by LVCRFT
“Dead Heart Beat” is LVCRFT’s undead love song featuring Uffie and John Kassir, the voice of the Crypt Keeper. It first appeared on The Sequel (2020), returned on the 2022 Valentine’s EP Deadly Valentine, and gets a new version on Skeleton Sam’s Deadtime Stories (2026).
Listen on Apple Music or Spotify.
What it sounds like
An lilting 129 BPM electronic pop track with a dark, moody, carnival feel. Uffie’s cool vocal glides over horns, bass, drums and synths, with a pun-filled spoken-word bridge.
What it’s about
A love that brings the dead back to life. The air between them is cold as ice, the voices under the stairs think they’re crazy, and they don’t care if they end up damned, because this love makes a dead heart beat again.

Dead Heart Beat lyrics
Verse 1
When you touch me I feel paralyzed, I
Just can’t get you off of my, Mind
The air between us cold as I, Ice
But that’s the kinda love that I Like
Pre-Chorus
People under the stairs think we’re crazy
Pictures on the wall staring right back at us
Voices in the night whisper so loudly
About you about me they don’t understand our love – cuz
Chorus
You make my dead heart beat
My dead heart beat, thump thump thump thump thump
You make my dead heart beat, my dead heart beat, thump thump thump thump thump
This 808 in my chest
You somehow undressed
And now I’m obsessed
With the warmth of your blood
You make my dead heart beat
My dead heart beat, thump thump thump thump thump
Verse 2
Dream of walking hand n hand, And
I keep trying to make weekend, Plans
I don’t care if we end up, Damned
Cause hell don’t compare to this, heaven
Pre-Chorus
Bodies over the ground think you’ve lost it
Bodies under this house they hatin’ on us
Voices in the night whisper so loudly
About you about me they don’t understand our love – cuz
Bridge
Your looks brought my HEART to a PULSE if I’d had one,
I’d say that I LOVED YOU, but this here’s about HAVING fun.
YOU made my SKIN crawl, I MEANT that, in a GOOD WAY!
YOU’re the KIND of GHOUL, that a GUY calls, A great SLAY!
FANGS for the memories, your BLOOD left mine STONE COLD,
My MAIN VEIN is THROBBING, but the FEELING’S are getting old.
You make-me ALIVE for a STIFF slab of meat…
LOCKED to Forever,..
My DEAD HEART BEATs! (Laugh)
Chorus
You make my dead heart beat
My dead heart beat, thump thump thump thump thump
You make my dead heart beat, my dead heart beat, thump thump thump thump thump
This 808 in my chest
You somehow undressed
And now I’m obsessed
With the warmth of your blood
You make my dead heart beat
My dead heart beat, thump thump thump thump thump
