Wait, a Movie Trailer for an Album Release?!
The Sequel Trailer: How LVCRFT Turned Quarantine into Cinematic Chaos
Leave it to LVCRFT to flip the script—again. When it came time to release their second album, The Sequel, they didn’t just drop a spooky playlist… they dropped a full-blown horror movie trailer.
Made during the thick of the COVID pandemic, the trailer was pulled together on a shoestring budget with maximum creativity and zero chill. Shot in isolation, edited remotely, and stitched together like Frankenstein’s monster, it’s an over-the-top blend of camp, chaos, and playful darkness that’ll make you laugh, cry, and pray for your safety — all while singing along to eight banging tracks from the album.
The trailer weaves in eight pulse-pounding tracks from The Sequel, including:
- “When The Devil Calls My Name”
- “No Rest For The Wicked”
- “Ferocious”
- “Die Together”
- “Beast Mode”
- “Psycho”
- “Death Couldn’t Tear Us Apart”
- “Flatlinin’”
Each song soundtracks a scene from an unmade Halloween blockbuster — all chaos, chills, and camp. And if the voiceover sounds suspiciously spine-tingling, that’s because two of LVCRFT’s very own members, DeepKutz (Amanda MNDR Warner) and Norman Crates (Peter Wade), stepped into the recording booth to deliver VO performances themselves.
What started as a wild idea became a defining moment for the project: a genre-bending, format-breaking, scream-worthy trailer for an album. Because why just drop music… when you can drop a horror cinematic universe?
