What it sounds like

A fast 143 BPM retro spooky pop-rock track with a funky groove. Electric guitar, bass and drums back Kiernan Shipka’s bright, confident vocal, with a dark, playful edge that fits Sabrina’s world.

What it’s about

A wicked heart that can’t rest. The singer is “a real bad witch” who won’t give up, knocking on the gates of hell with another spell and refusing to play the devil’s game, all for love.

The story behind the song

“Straight To Hell” started life as “Skeleton Sam.” Netflix heard LVCRFT’s first album, This Is Halloween Volume 1, and asked the band to rewrite “Skeleton Sam” to fit the plot of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season three, when Sabrina goes to hell to rescue her boyfriend. The song was used to promote the season, and its music video features the cast. LVCRFT later paired the two songs on a limited 10-inch vinyl.

Straight To Hell lyrics

Verse 1
There’s no rest for the wicked heart
When you can’t deny what you really want
Got a fire in my blood that could burn the sun
And I’m not afraid cause I’d die for love

Pre-Chorus
Tik Tik Tok and now its time
to get back what I’ve left behind
I know that there’s a sacrifice
And I’m ready to pay to the price

Chorus
I’m a Dance Dance Dance, into the dark
I hear my heart beat faster I’m not afraid to
Take that chance cause let me tell ya
When it comes to love I’m going straight to hell (yeah)

Verse 2
Can I have it all or is that too much?
Cause I’m a real bad witch and I won’t give up
I’m a nightmare wrapped in a pretty bow
Just wait til I get there down below

Pre-Chorus
Knock knock knock on the gates of the hell
Guess who’s back with another spell
Satan always get his way
But I don’t play the devils game

Chorus
I’m a Dance Dance Dance, into the dark
I hear my heart beat faster I’m not afraid to
Take that chance cause let me tell ya
When it comes to love I’m going straight to hell (yeah)

Bridge
I’m about to get my kicks
On Route 6, 66 I’m, just a witch on a mission, never quit
Nah, devil don’t you dare, don’t u dare
I can be your worst nightmare, nightmare
I’m about to change the game on (I’m trapped in hell)
tell the devil game on so good at being bad (Goin crazy)
this parade you’ll never rain on (Calling out for you to come and save me)
Devil don’t you dare (I’m scared) Don’t u dare (I’m scared)
I can be your worst nightmare (it’s a nightmare) nightmare (I wish you were here)

Chorus
I’m a Dance Dance Dance, into the dark
I hear my heart beat faster I’m not afraid to
Take that chance cause let me tell ya
When it comes to love I’m going straight to hell (yeah)
